Aquamarine is a variety of beryl, the mineral that contains the rare element beryllium and is best known for it’s gem qualities. It occurs mostly in silica rich granites associated with feldspar, mica and quartz. Crystals have been known to grow to 18 metres in length.

According to Metaphysical healers Aquamarine Seamen carried Aquamarine in ancient times to protect against drowning. It is a perfect companion to calm fears and phobias and encourage clarity of thought, Aquamarine can aid in the assimilation of new knowledge, making it a great crystal for students.
It can be a lucky stone for Pisces and Aries.
