This specimen was in one of the editions of 'Minerals Of Broken Hill'.
I acquired this when I bought Colin Weaven's Collection.

Calcite is one of the most colourful minerals in the world occurring in too many colours to list.

It is a double refractive refractive mineral.

High-grade optical calcite was used in World War II for gun/bomb sights.

Some calite also fluoresces under ultraviolet lifght.

Experiments have been conducted to use calcite for a cloak of invisibility. Clear Calcite is also known as Spar. It is double refractive.

Metaphysical Healers say Calcite is an energy amplifier that is useful for multi-directional energy distribution.

They also recommend calcite for curing ailments
for kidneys, pancreas, spleen, and for decalcification of bone growths. World teacher of cosmic awareness for all humanity.
